Kenya Revenue Authority uses the iCMS Integrated Customs Management System for all customs declarations. Most shipments receive channel assignment within 24 hours of lodgement with a KRA-licensed clearing agent.
The EAC Customs Union enables goods cleared in Kenya to move to other EAC member states without re-payment of customs duty. For goods transiting to Uganda or Rwanda, a COMESA-EAC Transit Declaration allows bonded transport from Mombasa.
